Drop 2: Hoa Mai Collection

Shot in Phoenix, Arizona in front of Pho 43 Restaurant.

Hoa Mai Collection Story:

This collection draws inspiration from the Hoa Mai flower, also known as the yellow apricot flower. In Vietnamese culture, the Hoa Mai tree is a staple during Lunar New Year, symbolizing luck, wealth, happiness, and prosperity. Living in America, the only time I see this beloved flower is when I return to Vietnam for Tet, making it a powerful emblem of unity, gathering, and community for me.

I've designed this collection to bring that same sense of connection to the Vietnamese diaspora in America. Each piece features a reinterpretation of the traditional Hoa Mai, with an additional petal added to the usual five. This extra petal represents the growth and evolution of our community as we adapt to life in a foreign land, showing how we thrive and evolve together. Join me in celebrating our roots and the continuous blossoming of our heritage.
